Depression is an illness marked by substantial changes in brain function and disruptions to other bodily systems. That’s why depression is less about feeling sad and more to do with lack of pleasure in life, along with a range of physical symptoms such as severe fatigue, disturbances of appetite and weight, and muscle and/or gut pains. Thought processes and mood are significantly impacted by these brain and body disturbances. We hope these resources help you grow in understanding and care for those in your midst who are living with Depression.
